Urban Homemaker Chlorine Water Filter GIVEAWAY – $59.95 Value! «
this does relate to liver detox. chlorine is a chemical; it has the potential to cause toxicity within our bodies and liver. it is a member of the bromine family of chemicals. bromines are ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS. aside from doing damage to thyroid function, chlorine really scares the shit out of me because it causes an imbalance in flora. our skin, mucous membranes, intestines… they all require a balanced bacteria to bacteria ratio. once imbalance occurs — through chlorine, perhaps — what results is every kind of sickness and malaise and lowered immunity. those little “good” bacteria that chlorine kills are essential in a healthy immune system and in the ability to ward off infection.
so, enter for your chance to win this water filter (trust me, i did)! it’s a great opportunity to help your body even further detox off the chemicals and toxins we’re subject to on a daily basis — even in the shower.

"What You Do Not Know About Detoxification Can Hurt You" «
an article. aside from the scary title and the confusing wording, i think there’s a good moral here: detoxification is real and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. also, toxins that are stored in the body (trapped in fat cells or causing stagnation in the liver) are also very real. overall, good message. however, if you can decipher what the hell the author is actually saying in the first three paragraphs, please let me know. i appreciate it.

update!
so today marks about week three in my quest for liver detoxification. and i want to update you all with my progress because hopefully it will keep you inspired and going strong.
the past two days i’ve noticed a big change in my overall mood and energy. i haven’t been sleepy until bedtime, i have had clarity in thinking, and have actually been able to get work done without losing concentration or getting distracted and having to start over a million times. for a writer, this is a really good thing considering met deadlines and a general continuity of my words are appreciated.
also, today i woke up in a good mood. being that it’s never happened to me before, it was difficult to pinpoint the happy, overflowing joie de vivre i was experiencing at that moment in time. i realized that sometimes people do actually wake up happy and ready to live, even on those days where nothing special or particularly exciting is happening (you know, just work and shit). overall, i feel like i have control of my mind, which is usually difficult for me as it wanders off and i become fatigued. is this a result of the liver detox? who knows, but i appreciate it anyhow.
how are you all doing?
